Have you ever baked cookies on a regular pan without any butter? Most times the cookies get baked onto the pan right? The cookies becomes difficult to remove. The butter keeps it from sticking just like any paint protection would for your vehicle. Cleaning off the stuck on cookies normally requires warm water and a degreaser. To avoid using strong cleaner on the paint its best to keep up with the vehicle with maintenance washes/details.

What type of protection should i get? That depends on the vehicle color, environment condition, and vehicle storage. Darker vehicle get hotter than light colors and need a more heat resistant products to last longer on the paint.
