Paint DecontaminationÂ
Keeping your vehicle's paint in pristine condition is essential for its longevity. Over time, various contaminants like iron particles, bird droppings, and tree sap can accumulate, causing the paint to feel rough and appear discolored. This buildup not only affects the aesthetic appeal but can also hinder paint protection from bonding effectively, leading premature wear. By regularly removing these contaminants, you can help extend the lifespan of your vehicle’s paint. Down below you'll find the most common vehicle contaminates.

Claying is the back bone to keep your paint is top shape. Claying removes embedded surface contaminates to make the paint smooth. It's all about prep. If the surface is rough, any type of paint protection such as wax, sealant, graphene, and even ceramic will not be able to do their job which is to protect the paint from paint failure damage. Not claying and adding protection is like sticking a sticker onto a dirty window. It might hold for a moment but eventually fall off because the surface wasn't properly cleaned.

Iron removal is used to remove iron particles that are tiny pieces of iron sitting on the paint. Why remove it? It will cause tiny rust spots causing discoloration, rough surface, & premature paint failure. Claying and iron removal go hand in hand in removing embedded contaminates.

Most water spots can be removed with acid by dissolving the minerals on the surface. But the water was only on there for a day!
Sometimes it etches into the paint due to poor maintenance, no paint protection, and heavy minerals baking onto the paint from extreme heat from the sun. Especially dark color paint. Once its etched in, it will need a paint correction.

Tree sap can create a sticky mess on your vehicle, appearing as either a fine mist or small droplets. While a degreaser wash can typically remove the mist, the more stubborn, coin-sized drops—especially when dried—require extra care. It's essential to sap removal promptly to prevent etching and damage to your car's paint.

Bug removal is crucial to prevent them from etching into your paint. Bugs contain high acidity, and allowing them sit on unprotected surfaces can lead to significant damage over time. Regular cleaning and protection can help maintain your vehicle's appearance and integrity. Don't let those pesky bugs ruin your paint job!
